Clarion Continues To Offer Their State-of-the-Art N.I.C.E. Transportable Navigation System

Gardena, CA – (January 5, 2006) Clarion Corporation of America, a leading manufacturer of mobile entertainment systems, offers its N.I.C.E. (navigation in-car entertainment) transportable navigation system for mobile information and entertainment solutions in their 2006 product line-up.

This full-featured 7-inch touch-screen navigation system provides users with point-to-point visual directions on its TFT LCD display. Users will also get turn-by-turn voice guidance to their destination, convenient automatic route recalculation and various screen viewing options. In the event the driver makes a wrong turn, diverting from the suggested route, an alternate route will be quickly offered to guide the way.

The versatile and transportable navigation system has sleek design and styling in a compact size, making it easy to move from vehicle to vehicle. A small, yet durable suction cup easily attaches to the windshield allowing the unit to be conveniently transferred between vehicles.

“This transportable system incorporates innovative technologies, with a 20GB hard drive to store a lot of information and is very user friendly,” says Ralph Dominguez, Clarion’s Senior Product Planning Manager.

N.I.C.E. is a valuable information source not only for Navigation, but for many entertainment features as well. The unit can be used for MP3, WMA and WAV music storage and playback, video playback via A/V input, and downloading images and data through the adaptable USB port. The transportable navigation unit is Sirius satellite-ready and has a built-in FM transmitter that will allow users to seamlessly play stored MP3 tracks through the existing audio system.

“The N.I.C.E. transportable will exceed consumer expectations,” states Dominguez, “because it encompasses all the features that customers want in a navigation system with the added benefits of being a multimedia device as well.”

Clarion’s 2006 N.I.C.E. transportable navigation system is available in January with an M.S.R.P. of $1,299.99.
