Clarion’s N.I.C.E. Nominated for Best Aftermarket Product

Gardena, CA (March 4, 2005) - Clarion Corporation of America, a leading manufacturer of mobile entertainment systems, is proud to announce that its new Navigation In-Car Entertainment system (N.I.C.E.) is a finalist for "Best Aftermarket Product" in the 2005 Telematics Update Awards.

The awards ceremony will be held the eve of the Telematics Update 2005 Conference and Exhibition (May 16) at the Detroit Marriot Livonia. Clarion is competing against four other companies, including Motorola, LoJack, and Parrot.

In its third year, the awards ceremony recognizes companies working to advance the concept of telematics, an ever-evolving term that refers to automobile systems that combine global positioning satellite (GPS) tracking, and wireless communications for automatic roadside assistance and remote diagnostics.

Clarion’s N.I.C.E. encompasses much of that concept and more, including GPS navigation, music storage and playback, mobile video and Sirius Satellite Radio control. Features for this transportable "infotainment" solution include a seven-inch digital TFT LCD screen, built-in 20GB hard drive, 2.0 and 1.1 USB ports, a rear-view camera port and reverse-trigger wire, A/V input and cable, built-in FM transmitter, speaker, and GPS antenna.

The M.S.R.P. for N.I.C.E. is $1,399.
