Clarion Breaks the Mold with Marine Speakers and Subwoofers

Gardena, CA - (January 6, 2005) - Clarion Corporation of America, a leading manufacturer of mobile entertainment systems, introduces a stunning line of traditional and sport series marine speakers.

The traditional series includes the 7-inch speakers such as the CMCS7.1, CMDC7.1, and the CMCX7.1. Also bursting onto the forefront is the 10-inch subwoofer CMSW10.1.

The 7-inch marine speakers and CMSW10.1 subwoofer boast Centrix 814, a versatile and superior material in protecting against UV, salt and fog. The Centrix 814 is used on the basket and grill or the tweeter housing and mount, depending on the speaker model. Both the CMCS7.1 and CMCX7.1 7-inch marine speakers feature titanium tweeters that assist in producing better sound quality for the marine enthusiast.

Clarion also introduced the “sport series,” including the 7-inch CMCX7.1S and 10-inch CMSW10.1S to the marine market.

“The sport series will be good for active, non-conservative customers,” explains Jerry Bedoy, Clarion’s Product Category Manager.

With a silver finish, instead of the traditional white, the sport series touts a more appealing look for avid sports enthusiasts. The sport series features rigid polypropylene cones that result in a better frequency response, adding to the sound quality.
