Clarion Announces USB and SD Media integration for 2006

Music, video, information content and their applications change in the blink of an eye. Today, USB and SD cards have emerged as the storage media of choice for many digital lifestyle products on the market. This year, Clarion's products take advantage of popular storage media allowing you to enjoy your favourite MP3/WMA format music files played directly from USB memory players and SD cards. The incorporation of access ports via the face of these products makes connecting peripheral equipment easy. By connecting your mobile audio player, you can enjoy your compressed audio files through your car audio system. Compatibility with a wide range of media seamlessly extends the use of your everyday office storage drive.

Clarion's all-new DB566USB single DIN , offers a convenient direct USB input via the front escutcheon allowing you to play back up to 255 files from a possible 255 folders. The unit also offers full text support of artist, album and song information embedded in your MP3 or WMA files. The DB566USB will launch in MAY 2006 with an R.R.P. of $349.

Clarion's music catcher technology now incorporated within the DFZ667 has evolved. With the new-found ability to copy your audio CD's directly to SD card or play back your MP3 or WMA files preloaded from your computer, mobility and music become a reality. Real time recording is a thing of the past now that you're able to run a CD down to the DFZ667's SD slot at 4 speed. While your ripping the file across, you can enjoy instant play back the audio to you not unlike the popular iTunes or Windows media programs. The DFZ667 is scheduled for a mid- 2006 consumer launch at an R.R.P $799.
