Cypress, Calif. (August 22, 2012) – Clarion Corporation of America (CCA) is pleased to introduce MotionX-GPS Drive to its existing array of apps. MotionX-GPS Drive allows the user to receive turn-by-turn directions and voice guidance all via the Next GATE’s seven inch screen. Clarion’s Next GATE presents a smarter way to stay connected in your vehicle with a smartphone controller for iPhone and now makes it easier to safely obtain directions and traffic updates.

MotionX-GPS Drive incorporates vivid maps and custom voices for turn-by-turn instructions. The App is easy to navigate and saves your favorite locations for easy access. The Next GATE’s large screen allows for easy viewing and for zooming, panning and changing map view.

Next GATE is easily connected and controls applications residing on the smartphone, allowing for advanced functionality in any virtually any vehicle. Bluetooth functionality allows for hands-free calling and enables iPhone features such as voice dialing and voice activation. In addition to MotionX-GPS Drive, other vehicle-friendly and optimized apps include: TuneIn®, Pandora®, Vlingo©, INRIX Traffic, Odyssey® and Clarion’s exclusive Tweet4car, FB4car and DriveSuite4car with more to come. Likewise Clarion is currently working with multiple app partners to greatly expand the functionality of Next GATE.
