Operation

Phonebook Transfer

For certain units, if the phone number is transferred/registered with a – (hyphen) from the cell phone, the caller name may not be displayed during an incoming call.
This will occur mostly with smartphones.

Bluetooth Audio

●Bluetooth playback may become unstable when there is an overlap of operations such as unit operation, navigation voice guidance, and incoming calls.

●If multiple music players are installed on the cell phone, music playback may start simultaneously during Bluetooth playback. In this case, close all other music players,
besides default player, after starting playback.

●Caution: when using iPhone(including iPod touch/iPad) music playback (wired) and as a hands-free device (Bluetooth) simultaneously,
if Bluetooth re-connects, music playback may stop anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. In this case:
Disconnect and re-connect the iPhone USB cable
or
re-initiate playback from the unit and switch the iPhone audio output from Bluetooth to Dock Connect, on the connection screen.
or
if you are not going to use it as a Bluetooth device, turn Bluetooth OFF from the unit or iPhone.

●Caution: if the Bluetooth Audio Connection Device and Hands-Free Device are different,
when connecting the cell phone as a hands-free device and when connecting other cell phones or iPod Touch/iPad as a Bluetooth audio device (non-HFP), during auto-connection, the Bluetooth audio device may connect as HFP and prevent calling or delete the hands-free device registration/phonebook that is stored in the unit. In this case, turn off the Bluetooth audio auto-connection and manually connect the Bluetooth audio after the hands-free device completes an auto-connection.

●The playback screen and functions can be operated through Bluetooth Audio.
Available control options and display will depend on the AVRCP version of unit and cell phone.
