Advances in HMI design take many forms. The new DXZ376MP through DB176MP feature our new Shooting Star control panel design. Shooting Star puts all the controls as close as possible to the driver and allows for a larger, easier to read LCD display that contains more information. A centrally located rotary volume knob punctuates this advanced design.

iPod Interface EA1276 Control

Connecting to an iPod brings you enjoyment of your favourite tunes in the iPod’s library through your audio system in the car. Control of the iPod is done on the main unit screen and as the unit recognises the connection automatically, it is possible to operate the iPod as if it is a part of your system.

Three types of sound quality patterns are pre-set for easy selection. Boost the bass only, the treble only, or both, with the level of boost adjustable by the user.

Front Panel Auxiliary Input

Who would have thought that something so simple could be so useful? All Clarion CD source units feature an auxiliary input, but the DB176MP through DXZ376MP put them right on the front panel. Plug in your portable DVD player, and enjoy music the way it was meant to be heard.

Subwoofer Volume Control

For added control, Clarion allows you to manage your sound system’s subwoofer output level directly from the source unit.

Magna Bass EX

Compared to conventional loudness features,which boost the low frequency range of 100 Hz, Magna Bass boosts the ultra-low frequency range with a centre frequency of around 60 Hz. For additional bass response, Clarion has added Magna Bass EX, which goes beyond Magna Bass by boosting the ultra-low frequency range centered around 60 Hz. This feature also reduces noise thanks to its automatic compensation function, which produces well-balanced, dynamic bass sound no matter how loud you play the music.

Bluetooth

Hands-free calls on your mobile phone supports safe driving. Wireless linkage with the source unit enables you to make calls using your car’s system. Furthermore, iPod linkage allows you to play music and control your iPod on your car system without the need for a cord.

MP3, WMA and ID3-TAG

Both models handle MP3 and WMA digital audio files, and both support ID3-TAG coding for display of title info. Because both MP3 and WMA files are compressed, each CD-R or CD-RW can hold up to 12 hours of music with CD sound quality.
