In developing its immersive sound technology, we considered the need for personalised experiences that are both intuitive and connected, so that passengers can listen to whatever, whenever, wherever they want in the cabin. Our immersive sound experience combines sound software and hardware to meet a variety of different user needs, whether for work or leisure. It allows passengers to manage their own individual sound bubble for a more comfortable and personalised on board experience.

Our unique sound technology provides an individualised high-quality sound that uses vibrations to enhance passengers’ perception and deliver a holistic sound experience. The solution is designed with shared mobility in mind so that sound can be targeted to each individual in the vehicle separately. For cases such as individual phone interactions, personalised navigation information or movie viewing, the sound bubble ensures that other passengers won’t hear information meant for the driver or vice versa. Individuals can choose to switch off their personalised sound space or open up their sound bubble to other passengers.

Our vision of the future is a world where autonomous driving is the norm, and where people can enjoy their time in their cars in safety and security. To achieve this goal, we develop in house innovative technologies using image processing and car control expertise. These systems include SurroundEye, which uses the four cameras on the front, back, and sides of the car to provide a virtual bird’s-eye view of the surroundings, a high performance automated parking system based on SurroundEye’s computer vision combined with sonar-based object detection, and a sensor cleaning feature that helps ensure clear visibility at all times. We will continue to refine our technologies and develop solutions that can provide a high level of driver assistance and help make autonomous driving even more comfortable.

Evolutions in autonomous driving are transforming the car from a means of transportation into a space where one can comfortably spend one’s time. To cater to this change, we develop systems designed to provide the most comfortable in-vehicle environment possible based on the detection and analysis of the driver’s and passenger’s activity. The systems incorporate camera sensors that use image recognition technology to detect drowsiness, distraction or other conditions of the driver and to identify passengers in the front and back optional with other sensors, as well as a high-spec ECU that comprehensively analyses a variety of data captured by the sensors. The results of these analyses are fed back to the audio system, seats, lights, air conditioner, and other features, which then automatically adjust their settings to provide a personalised level of comfort.
