In order to use Bluetooth functions, the mobile phone must be compatible with the following profiles:
For certain units, if the phone number is transferred/registered with a – (hyphen) from mobile phone, the caller name may not be displayed during an incoming call.
This will occur mostly with Smartphones.
●Bluetooth playback may become unstable when there is an overlap of operations such as unit operation, navigation voice guidance, and incoming calls.
●If multiple music players are installed on mobile phone, music playback may start simultaneously during Bluetooth playback. In this case, close all other music players
besides default player after starting playback.
●Caution when using iPhone(including iPod touch/iPad) music playback (wired) and as a hands-free device (Bluetooth) simultaneously
If Bluetooth re-connects, music playback may stop anywhere between a few seconds to a few minutes. In this case:
Disconnect and re-connect the iPhone USB cable
Or
Re-initiate playback from unit and switch audio output from iPhone from Bluetooth to Dock Connect in connection screen.
Or
If you are not going to use as a Bluetooth device, turn Bluetooth OFF from unit or iPhone.
●Caution if Bluetooth Audio Connection Device and Hands-Free Device are different
When connecting mobile phone as a hands-free device and when connecting other mobile phones or iPod Touch/iPad as a Bluetooth audio device (non-HFP), during auto-connection, the Bluetooth audio device may connect as HFP and prevent calling or delete hands-free device registration/phonebook that is stored in the unit. In this case, turn off Bluetooth audio auto-connection and manually connect Bluetooth audio after hands-free device completes auto-connection.
●Playback screen and functions that can be operated through Bluetooth Audio
Available control options and display will depend on AVRCP version of unit and mobile phone.
AVRCP 1.0: Play, Pause, Track Up/Track Down, Fast Forward, Rewind
AVRCP 1.3: In addition to 1.0, Song Information such as Song /Artist /Elapsed Time
AVRCP 1.4: In addition to 1.3, Folder Function
The unit and mobile phone must have the same version in order for these functions to work. If the version differs, functions for the lower version will be available.
Certain functions may not work even though they have the same version depending on the mobile phone specifications.
