Notes about each function

C1 It may not be available to connect from navigation or audio unit, please connect from mobile phone.
C2 It may not be available to register from navigation or audio unit, please register from mobile phone.
C3 It may not be available to register from mobile phone, please register from navigation or audio unit.
C4 It may be reconnected automatically even if it is disconnected by mobile phone.
C5 It may not be available to work normally by automatically connection, please connect by manual.
C6 It may not be available to work normally if the mobile phone is closed or not in main screen.
C7 It may not be available to display normally.
C8 Navigation or audio unit may sometimes be frozen. Please restart the engine.
C9 Bluetooth connection may be unstable.
C10 It may not be available to connect from mobile phone, please connect from navigation or audio unit.

Notes about Handsfree function

H1 The ringtone preset on navigation or audio unit will come out instead of the ringtone set on mobile phone.
H2 It may not be available to keep the call if Bluetooth is disconnected when taking or incoming or outgoing a call.
H3 It may not be available to switch to hands free mode or private mode from navigation or audio unit. Please operate on mobile phone.
H4 Outgoing ringtone may not be available.
H5 Incoming ringtone may not be available.
H6 It may not be available to work normally when the mobile phone is locked.
H7 It may not be available to dial from navigation or audio unit.
H8 It may not be available to connect from mobile phone, please connect from navigation or audio unit.
H9 It may not be available to display call screen or come out ringtone normally if Bluetooth connects when taking or incoming or outgoing a call.
H10 It may not be available to dial from phonebook or call history. Please dial by 10 keys.
H11 Call history may not be available.
H12 It may not be available to display the name or number when incoming or outgoing a call.
H13 DTMF function(0-9, #, *) may not be available.
H14 The voice quality of call may not be good.
H15 It may not be available for an interruption call when playing Bluetooth audio music.
H16 It may not be available to hold on a call by navigation or audio unit, or it may be not available to take the call after hold on.
H17 It may not be available to refuse an incoming call.
H18 The call may be disconnected when there is an interruption call.

Notes about Phonebook Transfer function

O1 The history of dialed calls and income calls and missed calls may be transferred mixed.
O2 It may not be available to transfer or download phonebook depending on the state of mobile phone and navigation or audio unit.
O3 It may not be available to transfer call history normally.
O4 It may be garbled. (Especially if they contain special characters and symbols, such as "☆".)
O5 Phonebook in SIM card cannot be transferred, but phonebook in mobile phone can.
O6 Phonebook in mobile phone cannot be transferred, but phonebook in SIM card can.
O7 Data may be lost or incorrectly after transferred.
O8 It may not be available to reconnect HFP or A2DP automatically after transferred phonebook.
O9 The phonebook order may be different from the mobile phone.

Notes about Audio function

A1 It may not be available to operate some audio control keys.
A2 It may not be stable if reconnected automatically or disconnect or interrupted by a call or switching to another audio source when playing music. Please reconnect by manual.
A3 It may be in pause mode after an interruption call or transferring data or switching mode when playing music.
A4 Sound skip may occur sometimes.
A5 The sound may not come out when switch to other audio source.
A6 It may not be available to operate by navigation or audio unit.
A7 The mobile may go on playing music without sound when switch to another source mode, or income an interruption call, or turn off navigation.

Notes about Data Transfer function

D1 Data communication may not be available when A2DP is connecting at the same time.
D2 Data communication may not be stable.

Caution when using Bluetooth

Profile

In order to use Bluetooth functions, the mobile phone must be compatible with the following profiles:

  • Hands-Free Calling : HFP (Hands-Free Profile)
  • Phonebook Transfer : OPP (Object Push Profile)
  • Phonebook Transfer and Call History Sync : PBAP (Phone Book Access Profile)
  • Audio : A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile), AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile)
  • Data Communication : DUN (Dial-up Networking Profile)
  • Smart Access : HID(Human Interface Device Profile), SPP(Serial Port Profile)

Operation

  • Operation may become unstable if auto-connect/disconnect engages due to incoming/outgoing call.
  • Certain functions may not work if the mobile phone does not have the capability.
  • If you cannot operate from the unit, you may be able to operate from mobile phone.
  • If you cannot operate by referring to the unit product manual, refer to the mobile phone manual.
  • Operation may become unstable due to reception/usage condition. Restarting the unit, mobile phone, or pulling mobile phone battery and turning back on may improve stability.
  • Operation may be stable even though an error message is displayed on the mobile phone or audio/navigation screen.
  • Various statuses may not match with mobile phone status.
  • Depending on where the mobile phone is stored, or how far it is, you may experience connection issues or sound skipping. Keep mobile phone where you can receive reception and maintain connection to unit.

Phonebook Transfer

For certain units, if the phone number is transferred/registered with a – (hyphen) from mobile phone, the caller name may not be displayed during an incoming call.

This will occur mostly with Smartphones.

Bluetooth Audio

●Bluetooth playback may become unstable when there is an overlap of operations such as unit operation, navigation voice guidance, and incoming calls.

●If multiple music players are installed on mobile phone, music playback may start simultaneously during Bluetooth playback. In this case, close all other music players

besides default player after starting playback.

●Caution when using iPhone(including iPod touch/iPad) music playback (wired) and as a hands-free device (Bluetooth) simultaneously

If Bluetooth re-connects, music playback may stop anywhere between a few seconds to a few minutes. In this case:

Disconnect and re-connect the iPhone USB cable

Or

Re-initiate playback from unit and switch audio output from iPhone from Bluetooth to Dock Connect in connection screen.

Or

If you are not going to use as a Bluetooth device, turn Bluetooth OFF from unit or iPhone.

●Caution if Bluetooth Audio Connection Device and Hands-Free Device are different

When connecting mobile phone as a hands-free device and when connecting other mobile phones or iPod Touch/iPad as a Bluetooth audio device (non-HFP), during auto-connection, the Bluetooth audio device may connect as HFP and prevent calling or delete hands-free device registration/phonebook that is stored in the unit. In this case, turn off Bluetooth audio auto-connection and manually connect Bluetooth audio after hands-free device completes auto-connection.

●Playback screen and functions that can be operated through Bluetooth Audio

Available control options and display will depend on AVRCP version of unit and mobile phone.


AVRCP 1.0: Play, Pause, Track Up/Track Down, Fast Forward, Rewind

AVRCP 1.3: In addition to 1.0, Song Information such as Song /Artist /Elapsed Time

AVRCP 1.4: In addition to 1.3, Folder Function


The unit and mobile phone must have the same version in order for these functions to work. If the version differs, functions for the lower version will be available.

Certain functions may not work even though they have the same version depending on the mobile phone specifications.
