Clarion to Launch Four New Connected Multimedia and Navigation Models in United States
Designed with Mobile Lifestyle of Today’s Consumers in Mind, All New 2014 Clarion Models Rely on the Company’s Advanced Connectivity Technologies and Growing Popularity of Smartphones
Cypress, California, (January 7, 2014) – Clarion Corporation of America announced today the availability of four new Double DIN connected in-dash multimedia and navigation models specifically designed for the United States market.
“In a world where mobility and connectivity are rapidly becoming inseparable, Clarion is launching four all new connected multimedia and navigation models in 2014 that offer the best in smartphone connectivity,’ stated Allen H. Gharapetian, Vice President of Marketing and Product Planning for Clarion Corporation of America. “We have spent a great deal of time researching what the users are expecting when it comes to extending their mobile lifestyle into their vehicles and, as a result, have come up with many new innovative features and an adaptable user interface that requires virtually no effort to operate.”
The all new NX604 will be Clarion’s flagship model in the United States with an industry first feature called Intelligent VOICE powered by Google which allows for naturally spoken sentences to be recognized without the need to use old-fashioned voice commands. With Intelligent VOICE, users can simply say conversational sentences such as “I’m hungry” and NX604 will understand and recommend a selection of restaurants. NX604 also includes a plethora of other features such as built in navigation, HD Radio, DVD/CD player, satellite radio, and Bluetooth. Smartphone connectivity is handled through Clarion’s exclusive Smart Access cloud-connectivity platform, supporting great apps like Pandora and iHeartRadio for both iOS and Android.
For those who love all of the features of the NX604 but don’t need a DVD /CD player, Clarion has readied the new FX504. It features the same great 6.2” WVGA touch screen of the NX604 with USB and Bluetooth connectivity for iOS or Android devices. In addition, FX504 offers the ability to playback music from Android smartphone organized in folders.
Also new for 2014, the VX404 connects to smartphones and offers all the features consumers have come to expect from Clarion like a built-in DVD/CD player, USB connectivity, and Bluetooth. It also features a 6-channel RCA audio outputs and dual zone entertainment allowing passengers to watch DVDs on the rear seat monitors while the driver can access apps and information in front.
For those who want a built in navigation but love all the other features that come standard in VX404, Clarion’s NX404 adds the highly acclaimed iGo Primo navigation software built-in for dependable navigation. Both NX404 and VX404 are designed with both performance and value in mind and, as a result, expected to be quite popular with consumers.
The new models are expected to launch in Q1 and Q2 of 2014 with NX404 debuting first in January and NX604 launching last in late Q2, 2014.
