Clarion Gives Users a Choice of How To Connect To Digital Music

Cypress, California, (January 6, 2011) – Clarion Corporation of America, a leader in the mobile electronics industry, announces that they will soon begin shipping their all-new 2011 mobile electronics source units which offer more methods of connectivity than they have ever offered before.

Including the new 2011 car and marine products, it brings Clarion’s USB iPod/ iPhone connectivity total to fifteen models. Seven models offer built-in Bluetooth, including two navigation units which utilize Parrot technology. Thirteen source units are Sirius Direct Connect capable, while nine are HD Radio ready plus a model with a built-in HD Radio tuner.

And compatible USB iPod / iPhone audio models can now access the audio portion of video files stored on compatible iPods and iPhones. They can even output its video to a rear seat monitor when used with the optional CCA748 iPod video accessory cable.

Most Clarion multimedia source units that are Sirius DC Ready also are HD Radio Ready, offering a choice so consumers don’t have to choose one or the other.

Clarion’s new FZ501 digital media receiver offers countless connectivity options and exquisite styling at a much more affordable price point than its predecessor. This mechless receiver is packed full of connectivity options from its all-new, unique single multi-way controller, improved iPod/ iPhone HMI, front USB and AUX with sliding cover, to built-in Bluetooth for hands-free operation and Stereo Audio Streaming, HD Radio Ready and Sirius Direct Connect Ready. The FZ501 offers affordable value no matter how you slice it.

For Clarion’s In-Dash Multimedia Models VX401 and VZ401, simply connect Clarion’s NP401 flash memory navigation system and turn them into premium navigators with high-resolution 3D map information and 12 million POIs.

The NP401 flash memory navigation system accessory includes audible voice commands in 3 languages (English, French and Spanish), Turn-by-turn voice prompts, Text-to-Speech street announcements and the map data is upgradeable via a Micro SD card.

The THD301 HD Radio Tuner Accessory allows compatible 1DIN CD, 2DIN CD and Digital Media Receiver to take advantage of the great features offered by HD Radio broadcasting such as digital sound, multicasting and iTunes Tagging.
