Clarion Corporation of America Receives A J.D. Power and Associates Award For The Second Year in a Row

Detroit, MI (August 14, 2007) – Clarion Corporation of America, a global leader in the mobile electronics industry, shares the honor of being awarded the industry’s highest award by J.D. Power and Associates for supplying the radio in the AM/FM/ Multi-CD Changer segment of the 2007 Multimedia Quality and Satisfaction Study.

Clarion supplies the CD Changer radio module for the system which received the award while another manufacturer provides the display components. The system ranks the highest in this segment with the lowest overall score of 4.0 problems per 100 vehicles (PP100), well below the industry standard number of reported problems in this segment (the lower the PP100 reported number, the higher the product quality). Clarion also supplies AM/FM/ Multi CD Changer radios to more than ten vehicle models in the North American U.S. market ranking second in the segment with 4.4 PP100.

The J.D. Power and Associates 2007 Multimedia Quality and Satisfaction Study measures owner experiences with the quality, design satisfaction and features of automotive multimedia systems in new vehicles. This study released on August 2, is based on responses from 97,390 owners of new 2007 model year vehicles.
