[Caution] Smart Access App Compatibility with iOS 9.0

Clarion conducts careful testing of its connected products whenever smartphone manufacturers release a new phone or a new version of its operating system. In the case of the newly released iOS 9.0, our preliminary tests have indicated some compatibility issues with Clarion models that take advantage of our Smart Access connectivity platform.
We recommend that all Smart Access users review this document before updating to the new iOS 9.0 operating system.

Discovered Issues

1. Abnormal application termination
The application may terminate unexpectedly when you try to access the Terms of Use of Media4car on iPhone that has been updated to iOS 9.0.
Solution: The issues of Media4car on iOS 9.0 has been resolved on the latest software.
Please download the latest Media4car (Ver.1.3.0 or later) and use it on iOS 9.0.

2. Unexpected pop-up message while switching application
An unexpected pop-up message as shown on the right may appear when the Smart Access application launches another application and vice versa for the first time after your iPhone is updated to iOS 9.0.
Solution:You may launch each associated application once in a safe place while a car is not in motion after your iPhone updated to iOS 9.0, to display the pop-up message, then tap the “Open” button to launch the app.If the pop-up message happens to appear while you are driving, Do NOT operate the iPhone. First park the car, then tap the “Open” button.
3. Language issue
Descriptions may not appear correctly, in the default language mixed with English in some applications running on iPhone that have been updated to iOS 9.0.
Solution: Clarion is currently working with Apple for a solution.In case that you would like to review the Terms and Condition of an application, go to the License Agreement of the app in App Store.
 
4. Connectivity issue
Apps may infrequently fail to launch on the Launcher screen and your iPhone may be disconnected from an in-vehicle device.
Solution: The issues of Smart Access on iOS 9.0 has been resolved on the latest software.
Please download the latest Smart Access (Ver.3.1.2 or later) and use it on iOS 9.0.
