Completion of Xiamen Clarion Electrical Enterprise Co.,Ltd. R&D Center. Lively Opening Ceremony Held.

On July 3, 2012 a grand opening ceremony for Xiamen Clarion’s stunning new Design and New Business Center was held at the new office (40, Guanri Road, Stage II, Software Park).

The opening ceremony was held in two parts—morning and afternoon. In the morning, guests were mainly from the government, academia and the leading car makers. In the afternoon we hosted suppliers from all over China.

The ceremony was attended by executives from Clarion headquarters, notably Executive Director Yoshimine, and representatives from the various operations of Clarion China including Chairman Oyachi. Also in attendance were reporters from various newspapers, representatives from the Xiamen Municipal Government, in particular Deputy Director General Zhang of the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Economic Development, and officials from the Tong’an District Government, including Secretary Chen from Tong’an District Committee of Xiamen. Representatives from universities included professors from the College of Information Science and Engineering Management at Xiamen University, notably Vice Dean Wang. In addition many suppliers attended, including PTT of Hong Kong, bringing the total number of guests to 200.

At the ceremonies, many congratulatory messages and speeches were presented; they overflowed with warmth and enthusiasm. The speakers showed high expectations that, with the increased scale of Xiamen R&D, the center will achieve even better results and will serve as a research and development base that can strongly support the Clarion Group’s future development activities. Members of government groups gave encouragement, thanking Clarion for its large social contribution, and expressed hope that such cooperation and support would be even greater in the future. From the universities and professional colleges also, speakers complimented Clarion for maintaining good relations with their schools over the years. They congratulated Clarion on tackling important social issues such as developing outstanding technical human resources and easing the problem of inadequate employment opportunities. Representatives from suppliers made speeches overflowing with gratitude and spurred Clarion on, saying they all want to cooperate to make Clarion a “world leader” that will drive Japan forward. The representative of CXEE R&D, after introducing the company to the guests, vowed that he and all the CXEE team would take the opening ceremony as an opportunity to renew their efforts to fully support Clarion.

Following the opening ceremony, guides led visitors on a tour of the bright and spacious (more than 8000m2) new research facility. As Clarion’s new products, new technologies, etc. were explained, guests expressed their affirmation and praise.

After the tour, the whole group was transported to a banquet hall at the Nikko Hotel. The reception festivities were launched with a traditional Japanese “Kagami-biraki,” breaking open a sake barrel. The banquet room overflowed with a pleasant atmosphere and everyone enjoyed drinks and ample communication. Finally the festivities of this memorable day ended amidst cheerful talking and laughing.
