Satellite Radio in North America beams music with high quality sound and other programs directly from satellites. Combined subscriptions for the two service operators have surpassed 14 million, and are continuing to grow. A new service offering traffic information with satellite radio has started. Clarion recognized the significance of this service and released a Satellite Radio Traffic Information Receiver System for the North American market in 2006.

Information such as congested areas and road hazards are displayed on the map screen. In addition to the after-sale market, Clarion is also developing OEM devices specifically for car manufacturers.
