Compliance education and training are carried out constantly throughout the entire company for each level of employees. We provide education and training on the compliance program to new employees, and group education and training on each issue to the managerial staff. In fiscal 2006, these training sessions focused on newly enacted/enforced laws and ordinances (Financial Instruments and Exchange Law, Whistleblower Protection Act, as well as export control regulations, regulations on hazardous substances in products, and other topics. This training is also extended to the general employees in each department using the cascade method (step method). In addition, we extended the e-learning course for managerial staff that we had begun in fiscal 2004 to these employees in an effort to increase the knowledgeableness of all employees regarding compliance issues. Moreover, we are striving to improve their awareness of compliance by using casebooks and/or videos.
