NX602 MPEG Update Procedure

B1- Insert a blank USB stick into your computer.

Copy the contents of the MPEG folder (build.img and UPD.MPEG.VER files) to the root of the USB stick.

B2- Safely eject the USB stick from your computer.

B3- Turn off the NX602

B4- Connect the USB stick to the USB pigtail that extends from the rear of the NX602

B5- Select the USB source option from the main menu

You will see a message that states LOADING…

B6- You will see the Update menu. Press the red arrow to the right of the MPEG line.

B7- Press the right arrow.

You will see it upgrading the MPEG software.

The system will reboot once complete.

B8- Turn off the NX602.

B9- Remove the USB stick from the USB pigtail.

B10- Turn on the NX602.

B11- Go to the settings menu.

B12- Scroll down and select Version.

If the software versions match, please proceed to the OS Update.

NX602 OS Update Procedure

C1- Insert the microSD card from the MPC, MCI and BT update into your computer

C2- Delete all the files on the microSD card

C3- Copy the contents of the OS folder (Image.bin and CSUPDATE.HK files) to the root of the mircroSD card.
C3- Copy the contents of the OS folder (Image.bin and CSUPDATE.HK files) to the root of the mircroSD card.

C4- Safely eject the microSD card from your computer.

C5- Remove the microSD Map card from the NX602 and store in a safe location. DO NOT PUT THIS CARD IN YOUR COMPUTER. DO NOT ALTER ANY FILES. DO NOT USE THIS CARD TO DO THIS UPDATE. Damage to this card is not covered under warranty.

C6- Insert the new microSD card into the slot. Gold contacts should face left

C7- Turn on the NX602

The OS update will begin automatically. You will see a message stating that the update programmer will begin in 5 seconds, the count down to zero and begin

Once complete, the NX602 will restart

C8- Once it restarts, please turn the radio off.

C9- Remove the microSD card with the updates.

C10- Reinsert the navigation microSD card.

C11- Turn on the NX602

C12- Go to the settings menu

C13- Scroll down and select Version

C14- Confirm that the unit is updated to the following version numbers:


OS: PA01-V2.02.0038.13-15R8

If the software versions match, you have successfully complete the update of your NX602 to the latest software.
