NX602 Firmware/Software Update

NX602 Update Improved Functions

New as of Feb 13, 2013

You will need a minimum 256MB microSD card and a minimum 128MB USB stick. Larger capacities are acceptable. DO NOT USE the microSD card from your NX602.

A1- Download the update and unzip to see 3 separate folders:

MPEG

OS

NX602 MPC, MCU & BT Update Procedure

A2- Start with the MPC_MCU_BT

A3- Copy the contents of the “MPC_MCU_BT” folder ( bootloader.bin, BT.bin, BTVer.bin, flasher.bin, MCU.bin, updater.bin and the folder CE69) to the root of a blank microSD card.

A3- Copy the contents of the “MPC_MCU_BT”  folder ( bootloader.bin, BT.bin, BTVer.bin, flasher.bin, MCU.bin, updater.bin and the folder CE69) to the root of a blank microSD card.

A4- Safely eject the microSD card from your computer.

A5- Remove the microSD Map card from the NX602 and store in a safe location. DO NOT PUT THIS CARD IN YOUR COMPUTER. DO NOT ALTER ANY FILES. DO NOT USE THIS CARD TO DO THIS UPDATE. Damage to this card is not covered under warranty.

A6- Insert the new microSD card into the slot. Gold contacts should face left.

A7- Turn on the source unit and let it finish booting.

A8- Go to the settings menu.

A9- Scroll down and select Version.

A11- Press the red arrow to the right of the MPU update. If this is grey, go to step A15.

A12- Press the right arrow.

You will see a message stating Upgrading, MPU V1.21

Once complete, the unit will automatically restart.

A13- Once the unit has finished booting, Go to the settings menu.

A14- Scroll down and select Version.

A16- Press the red arrow to the right of the MCU update. If this is grey, go to step #A21.

You will see a message stating Upgrading MCU

Once complete, the unit will automatically restart.

A21- Press the red arrow to the right of the BT update. If this is grey, go to step A22.2

A22.1- Press the right arrow.

You will see a message stating Upgrading, BT HW05-SW01.25.00

This update goes through the progress bar twice and takes several minutes. Please be patient.

A22.2-Once it restarts and finishes booting, please turn the radio off.

A23- Remove the microSD card with the updates.

A24- Re-insert the navigation microSD card.

A25- Go to the settings menu

A25- Scroll down and select Version

Confirm that the unit is updated to the following version numbers:

Bluetooth: HW05-SW01.34.00

Application: 1.07.1.27 2012-12-31

MCU: V2.36 Nov. 30 2012

If the software versions match, please proceed to page 2 for the MPEG and OS Updates.
